Artist Profile Bio:

James T Cotton (JTC, Dabrye and, his real name, Tadd Mullinix) has been an integral part of the Nation family since its origin, with a string of successful releases on Creme,Ghostly/Spectral, UDEK and Gigolo labels. As part of a new wave of producers exploring the “Jakbeat” sound, Cotton provides a reinterpretation of classic house and techno rhythms, which steers clear of retro cheekiness.

he worked as The Dirty Criminals: technically chosen to be 1 of Traxx's partners in crime.
he also does Saturn V - with Traxx. A frequent collaborator. You can find Saturn V on Muzique, Relief, and Creme Jak. In addition Cotton also records as X2 - with Traxx and D'marc Cantu to create one of the most pivotal projects of his career. X2 was created less than a year much studio time between JTC,Traxx and D'Marc Cantu.

In February of 2008 Cotton returned with another confident work, furthering his dark techno paranoia beyond ordinary realms,
to unveil his new album the fittingly-titled, Like No One.
with his nu album Cotton provides proof that Like No One plays like adocument of the dance music moment,
where genre falls away, and true energy and prowess thrive.

2004's The Dancing Box LP was a powerful look into the mind of this creative producer. Tracks like "Press Your Body" and "The Drain" suggested a dystopian landscape, marrying Belgian New Beat and Acid into a classic melange.

In the Fall of 2009 Cotton will be releasing the long awaited ExperimentalAcid project album..
