Emerging from the halcyon days of the juice bars, loft parties, after-hours sets + the earliest glimmers of the rave movement. Existing in the margins of “techno” + “house”Somewhere in the intersection of “jack” and “industrial" J/M StRaP exists; somewhere completely familiar yet …exotic, different, odd. (Josh Werner & Melvin Oliphant) receives inspiration from the early masters of this music, seeking to apply the timeless + inherent wisdom of their template to a new age. They stand on the shoulders of giants while attempting a synthesis of eras in pursuit of a new epoch.
