We had some unfinished business, so after long deliberation here is the JTC Creme JAK X03!
JTC (aka James T Cotton) opens this ep with a devastating 70's Disco/Funk/JAK hybrid,
hypnotizing crowds with a repetitive funk guitar and throwing them into a Jakking frenzy with a steamrolling basskick counterpoint. Simply JAK-tastic!

Followed by a silky Chicago Dub jakker for the comedown and we're ready for 2AM/FM. Or are we?
These two cats Rave up the place with some of their patented deep rolling Chicago-house influenced trax, but spice it up with a thick-slick muddy bassline before erupting like Old Yeller. Top! More...

Finally a full EP by D'Marc Cantu (1/2 of 2AM/FM and under other aliases involved in collabo's with Traxx).
Technically it's the follow up to his cult hit ''No Control'' (Creme JAK 02, today a highly sought after 12'') and in good H-H-H-House fashion this EP contains a ball busting JTC remix of this anthem.
But the centre piece must be the title track; one of the most emo-simplo JAK trax we've ever heard here at the office. Starting out simple enough with a single finger synth line (like the musings of a retarded secretary), it mutates into a big wailing distorted saxophone (or a mating whale, who knows?), this puppy will fill your room and throw everybody into an instant K-hole. Hey, if that don't sound appealing check the soundclips for proof, it's pure LIBERATION... nay REBIRTH!

In late 2008, Discos Capablanca founder Hugo invited Eric D. Clark and Traxx to DJ at a label party in Berlin. Hugo not only introduced the two, but suggested that Eric get behind the mic to sing live over Traxx’s beats. “In a Daze”, originally an instrumental by Traxx and Beau Wanzer, evolved into the final version you hear here, combining 707 sounds and a passionate vocal delivery, with the rough and gritty edges still intact. It is the first time Chicago artists Traxx & Josh Werner come together as J/M Strap and are responsible for the A side of this record. We proudly present “the owl in daylight”, an amazing track that brings chicago "jakbeat" sound to a special point of view with an incredible bassline that seems alive weaving all around the song to take it to the next level with a simple but intriguing dark pad and brilliant solid drums. The legendary first one, sold out moments upon arrival and subsequently licensed by Sven Vath, for his compilation "The Sound of Ibiza 2007".. Yeah yeah, don't ask, the universe loves pulling pranks like that.
Aaanyway, it quickly became a trainspotters classic/digital staple and has been steadily fetching around 30/40 euros on discogs. Here's a chance to get another copy incase you missed it, to speculate with, to keep a mint extra or do whatever..
